FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Tasting Room is open Monday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Yes. Dogs are welcome at Veritas. They must be kept on a leash at all times and are not permitted inside the Tasting Room or the Ballroom.
Yes, children under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Yes, the veranda surrounding the Tasting Room is partially covered. The tent covering the patio is in place March through December. The picnic tables on the bricked patio are equipped with umbrellas.
Nope! But we highly recommend making reservations on weekends, especially Saturdays as there is limited seating in the Tasting Room and covered patio.
While your reservation is rain or shine, we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This means you have up until 24 hours prior to your reservation to cancel and receive a refund. Each picnic table has a bistro umbrella over the table.

There are several tasting options.
Taste in Place: The wine flights are an innovative, portable tasting of four different Veritas wines. Each wine is accompanied by written tasting notes and a video from Winemaker Emily Hodson. Purchase the flight and enjoy it from wherever you are seated.
Tableside Tastings: You may make a reservation for a Tableside Tasting in the Tasting Room. For more information and to book, click here. Reservations are required.

We do not allow outside food in the Tasting Room, Veranda, Ballroom, or Reservation areas. You are welcome to bring outside food to picnic on our lawn space or on the brick patio areas.
Yes. You can purchase food at The Terrace restaurant during our normal operating hours. The kitchen closes at 4:30pm. View the menu.
The winery kitchen closes at 4:30 pm and does not serve dinner, however the Farmhouse Restaurant at Veritas offers a four-course, wine-paired dinner service Tuesday-Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Please visit their website or reach out to farmhouse@veritasfarmhouse.com for more information and to make your reservation.
There is a 8-bedroom bed and breakfast, the Farmhouse at Veritas, on the property. Please visit their website for more information and to make your reservation.
Prior to your visit, please agree on a designated driver and plan your transportation in advance. Uber and Lyft are unreliable. Other options include Afton Coach, Charlottesville Transportation, YellowCab, and Albemarle Limousine. None of these services are endorsed by Veritas.

Appropriate receptacles are positioned on the surrounding grounds. Please be considerate of any guests around you.
Veritas is wheelchair accessible. We have reserved handicapped parking. Please make us aware at the time of your reservation if you are in need of assistance.
HOURS
The terrace offers gourmet sandwiches, salads, charcuterie and cheese plates from 11 am – 4:30 pm daily. You are welcome to bring your own picnic!
No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
