Vintner's Reserve 2008

The 2008 VR is a wine that proves patience pays off. The vision of the finished wine is determined by the potential of its parts. The Merlot has become the core of the wine in 2008 VR because of the beautiful ripe fruit tones and backbone. The Cabernet Franc adds cherry with subtle black pepper spice and the Petit Verdot add deep color, dark fruit notes and additional structured tannins. VR spends 16 months in French oak (50% new barrels) which adds more richness and balance to stand further cellaring. Drink now or age beautifully until 2016. VR is a perfect wine to enjoy with any red meat from Filet Mignon to Rib Eye, Venison or lamb. Also a great compliment to pasta with flavorful red sauce.
